You have a process installation, but no technical documentation of the installation, or you need "As Built" documentation but this is not available. In order to obtain this documentation, you have had a 3D scan made of the installation, whether or not by Van Zijtveld Consulting. This scan must now be fully digitized. After digitizing, you will have a 3D model that you can use for maintenance, alterations or renovations.
At Van Zijtveld Consulting, we can guide you through this process or even carry it out for you. We have already completed several projects in which a complete installation was scanned and then completely digitized. This involved not only the piping, the valves and the equipment, but also the entire building including the corresponding platforms, stairs and other steel construction parts.
When it concerns an older installation of which you still have drawings, you can have the scanned model digitized in order to make a comparison between the state of the drawings and the actual current state of the installation. We often see that in the years after completion adjustments have been made and/or parts have been completely removed or replaced. By scanning and digitizing your installation now, you immediately have the current status you need, for example, when applying for approvals and permits.
Van Zijtveld Consulting has already gained a great deal of experience in digitizing smaller and larger process installations, from less complex to very complex. Depending on your requirements, we can both perform 3D scanning and digitize the 3D scan for you. Based on our experience we advise you to put the entire process in our hands, so that there are no surprises when the 3D scan is delivered.
When scanning, we use high-quality scanners from the manufacturer Faro, of which we also use the "As-Built" solutions for digitizing the installation. If you prefer a different scanner or software solutions, we can also help you with that. Van Zijtveld Consulting has several options in that regard.
The reason we chose Faro is that the Faro scanners and the software solutions are widely used worldwide. In addition, the Faro software provides file formats that are supported by various CAD solutions. You therefore run the minimal risk of not being able to use the files that the Faro scanner or software provides.
Our conclusion is therefore simple: if you need a 3D scan, or if you already have a 3D scan and want to have it digitized, then you have come to the right place at Van Zijtveld Consulting. From the 3D scan to the complete digitization and, if necessary, derivation of technical drawings is in good hands with us. Please feel free to contact us for the possibilities we can offer you.
